Enjoying some pizza after an afternoon of cooking and chopping and preparing for tomorrow's luncheon after the graveside service for Unkie Paul....

Miss Julia Child herself.....love you Chrissy!

Getting ready to head over to the cemetary......

Kevin conducted the service.....

Uncle Paul's grandchildren singing a beautiful hymn

Joe did a wonderful job with the eulogy
Uncle Paul was a great man!

We did our part to stamp out world hunger! Everyone came over to our house to visit and eat and enjoy one another...
Viva le Company!!!

Aunt Jane, Debbie and beautiful little Grace....
My cousin Mark and his daughters......

Cheryl's husband Ren and a few of their cute kids....

Sweet Auntie Claire. Uncle Paul must have been proud of her and how well she held up. Chrissy is holding Joe's new baby boy.....

People came from all over for the service. (Their foreign exchange student from many years ago even came with his wife from Germany)

Lee took everyone for a spin in his jeep....
Nicci's friend Aaron came with her from Palm Desert to help her pack up some of her things for her new apartment.....

This is just about the last time Lee will be able to take these boys down...
they are getting big enough to show him what's up!

Our branch of the family tree.......

Cute picture of dad and Nicci....

Joe's darling little girl.....
Kevin and Jennifer and family....

They don't get any cooler than these dudes!!!
Bryce and Kevin

Time to say good-bye....despite how sad we were to bid Uncle Paul farewell
we sure had a wonderful visit with everyone. Funerals end up being a blessing in many ways as families come together to celebrate a life well lived and to appreciate
the lives that remain. I feel blessed to be part of such a wonderful family!

  1. What a great post Marci! I'm sad that I didn't get to make it & see everyone. What a great lookin' family huh!? I will always remember the moment Susan pulled down Uncle Pauls shorts at your house. Good times & lots of good memories. Thanks for sharing these moments. Love, JoAnna
