Dusting can be dangerous!

Earlier this week I was cleaning my house and doing some dusting....
I made the mistake of looking to closely at the pictures of the kids as I was dusting and got to missing them so much! So I listed for a flight to Anchorage and headed
there Saturday morning. Bonus....Nicci was heading there, too so I got to spend the day with her and Kristen and Jeremy and the kids. Nicci flew in to Salt Lake and then we met up and flew together to Anchorage. Had a blast!

Izzy's Pre-School

Alaska is so beautiful....the fall colors were incredible!
Goodies for the kids.....

Kristen had an awesome dinner put together for all of us.....yummy soup in bread bowls. It was so good to see everyone!

My favorite nut-cases......

Michael joined us for dinner. It was so great seeing him again....

Back on the plane at midnight and home by morning!
I feel much better now!!! A little lovin' from the grand-kids does a gal
a world of good!

Thinking of Grandpa Abbott this afternoon....

I have been doing a U class this afternoon at school and am fiddling around with the photos that I have on my computer. I was just looking at some of my pictures and came across this video of Grandpa Abbott back in December of 2006. It was when Lee, Andi and Kristen and Jeremy and the kids drove down to pay him a visit. Just listening to his voice and his cute laugh makes me want to cry. So sad that he is no longer with us but happy to have this little video and memory of him. It will make you smile to hear his voice.....He was a great man!

A baby shower for Tara.....

My friend Jackie and her daughter Tara
at a baby shower last night.....
I remember when Tara was born and now she
is having a baby of her own!!!

This one's for the girls.....

Hold on for dear life!!!

This post to my blog is for the girls. It's hard to explain over the
phone the changes we are making so here's a few photos of us living on the
edge (literally) this past week-end.

Lifting the plywood up 16 feet to fit on those boards was a little
scary. We make a good team though.....Lee did the hard work and I
held on to the ladder and prayed!!

Feelin' good in the neighborhood!

Here's the door we had cut out so that we could go in and out of the house
from our basement. We are loving this and so are the dogs!

Let's get it started - hah!!!

Daddio is gettin 'er done.....
Work officially began today on the deck cover.
Lee is da' man!!!!

A fun visit with Aunt Cherie.....

What a great surprise! Aunt Cherie, cousin Mark and his wife
stopped by and paid us a visit! Lee took
them for a ride down memory lane in his '73 jeep.
They could not have been cuter! A super fun visit!
